Task Forces
Five active Task Forces have been established to work with several Baltimore City government agencies and other interests to accomplish the five point action agenda. These groups meet on a monthly to bimonthly basis (see meeting schedule in Calendar section) with identified goals and outcomes to guide their work. Each task force group is led by a CBP member organization and includes a vibrant mix of neighborhood organizations, city agency staff and pertinent member participation, especially those affected by the actions of that particular task force.
Commercial Development - Maryland Institute College of Art and Charles North Community Association
Public Safety - University of Baltimore
Code Enforcement - Greater Homewood Community Corporation
Sanitation - Charles Village Benefits District and Midtown Community Benefits District
Housing - Johns Hopkins University and Jubilee Baltimore
The Partnership is also working towards fully implementing a 6th working task force, Workforce Development, which will be led by a selected member organization. You can view all the partners here.
The five task forces have established relationships with the appropriate Baltimore City government agencies (Baltimore Police Department - Eastern, Central, Northern Districts; Department of Public Works; Mayor's Cleaner Greener Initiative; Baltimore Housing - Division of Code Enforcement) at a level of leadership that is close enough to the front line to understand implementation, but high enough in each agency to have authority to take the actions needed. Each task force has set objectives and measurable targets for improvement as a mechanism to monitor progress and gather baseline data; and has continually achieved progress on its priorities, see Accomplishments page.
